Abstract

Subject and goals. In recent decades, the modern economy has assumed that the creative industries are developing rapidly. This is evidenced by data on the capitalization of creative industries in the world, which today is almost $ 2.3 trillion. The development of creative industries depends on various factors, such as fashion, taste, culture and popularity, in which social media influences consumer choices, rather than innate preferences and pricing policies, which differ from country to country and region to region.
Methods. This article provides a comparative analysis of the development of creative industries in these countries, since the policy for the development of creative industries was adopted here in the context of economic changes in both countries: the UK must leave the EU, and China will move from an economy based on production to an economy based on knowledge.
Results and conclusions. Thus, the study of the development of creative industries depending on territorial division is very relevant. The UK and China have long identified the creative industries as central to the development of the national economy as a whole. The government of both countries pays considerable attention to the development of the creative sector of the economy using both institutional measures and financial mechanisms.
